About the Project:
Students in Loyola University Chicago’s School of Communication created the Chicago Church Project to chronicle the stories of some of these churches. Students in the Advanced Reporting class interviewed pastors, parishioners and historians about the churches, and wrote profiles. Students in the Photojournalism class shot the photographs in this exhibit.
Their work can be seen here and at chicagochurches.tumblr.com.
