Loyola University Chicago is featuring annual New Plays Festival Saturday and Sunday in the studio theater.
The performances are original plays written by students in Loyola’s Playwriting class (THTR 204), acted by volunteers from the student body, and directed by students in the Directing (THTR 375) class.
Performances start at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 for one show or $8 for a two-day pass..
All information is from Loyola’s Arts Alive blog, who describe the festival in this way:
“In Loyola’s annual theatre festival, students perform plays written and directed by their peers. Come celebrate the ingenuity of our most creative students as their original works are brought to life before your very eyes.”
