Former Loyola University Chicago catcher Jenna Grim has been signed for the rest of the season with the Chicago Bandits professional women’s fast-pitch softball team.
A native of Beecher, Ill., Grim spent her college days with the Ramblers at the catcher position. She finished her college career ranked second on Loyola’s career home run list with 31 and tied for the team lead in 2011 with seven. Her 87 RBIs place her fifth on the school’s all-time list.

Grim will spend time as the Bandits’ catcher and possibly see some at-bats as the designated player in some games.
Grim played youth softball for the Beecher Ladycats, Illinois Outlaws and Crete Quest before playing in high school and then at Loyola.
