The Lakeshore Theater, a comedy theater in the Lakeview neighborhood, closes its doors after its last show this weekend, according to Chicago Public Radio.
Any comedy shows that were scheduled past this date were cancelled since this comedy venue is shutting down.
Owner Chris Ritter says it was a necessary decision with the lack of revenue.
Although the ticket sales were up, there was not enough money for the business to finance building repairs and other expenses, Public Radio reports.
