About 4,000 Commonwealth Edison customers on the Far North Side were without power for about an hour Saturday, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Some residents reported power out in the Edgewater and Andersonville neighborhoods, generally in the area of Clark Street north of Foster Avenue, about 4:30 p.m., according to the Sun-Times.
Approximately 4,000 customers in that area had their power knocked out because of an outage, ComEd spokeswoman Martha Swaney told theĀ Sun-Times.
ComEd crews were soon on the scene working to restore power and by about 5:30 p.m. power had been restored to those customers, Swaney told the Sun-Times.
It was not immediately known what caused the outage, according to the Sun-Times.
