$350,000 in pot plants reportedly found in Edgewater apartment

Brian Mayhall, 39, faces a felony drug charge after Chicago police said they found 49 marijuana plants worth more than $350,000 in his Edgewater apartment.

Brian Mayhall, 39, faces a felony drug charge after Chicago police said they found 49 marijuana plants worth more than $350,000 in his Edgewater apartment.

CPD officers were called to Mayhall’s apartment in the 5700 block of North Winthrop Ave on February 9, 2014 at 4 p.m. Mayhall allowed officers to search his apartment after officers observed many plants, when Mayhall opened the door, and the strong scent of cannabis. Police seized 49 plants, various lights, and grow tents, according to ABC 7 News.

Mayhall was charged with one felony count of Production of Cannabis-Plants and one count of misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, according to ABC 7 News.
