Where’s the beef?
That’s what the owners of a West Rogers Park restaurant are asking after thieves apparently made off with more than $600 in meat products.
Here is the story from ABC-7 News:
The owners of a West Rogers Park restaurant hope surveillance video will help police find the thief who made off with more than $600 worth of meat.
The video shows the thief in an alley outside JK Kabob House last month. First he tries to load 384 pounds of marinated beef, lamb and chicken onto his bike. But that doesn’t work very well, so he leaves and returns with a shopping cart.
“When I came in we went down in the basement and all my meat’s gone . . .Went next door, said ‘Hey, can we see the video? And that’s when we saw Mr. Meat Thief,” said Majid Mustafa, owner of JK Kabob House.
Mustafa says he’s tightened up security at the restaurant since the theft.
