Chicago Public Schools is conducting an investigation at a Rogers Park elementary school following allegations of misconduct involving an assistant principal and a teacher.
A second-grade teacher and an assistant principal have been removed from student contact at Jordan Elementary Community School while CPS conducts the investigation, the Chicago Tribune reports.
“Chicago Public Schools is reassigning both employees away from the classroom pending the outcome of our investigation,” CPS said in a statement.
Since the investigation is ongoing, the district said it could not discuss any details regarding the school, 7414 N Wolcott Ave. But CPS deputy press secretary David Miranda said there is no criminal investigation underway, the Tribune reports.
