Teen wounded in drive-by shooting in Uptown

A teen remains hospitalized after he was wounded in a drive-by shooting in Uptown,  according to the Sun-Times Media Wire.

A 16-year-old boy was walking in the 4500 block of North  Clarendon Avenue when shots were fired from a green sport-utility vehicle about  11:37 p.m., according to a release from police News Affairs.

The SUV fled north to Wilson Avenue and then south on Lake  Shore Drive, the statement said.

The teen was taken to the nearby Weiss Memorial Hospital,  where he was listed in “stable” condition, the statement said.

Police have made no arrests as Area North detectives  continue to investigate the shooting. It remained unclear what motivated the  shooting, police said.
