An autopsy was scheduled Tuesday for a 69-year-old Rogers Park woman who died Monday, almost a week after being pulled from Lake Michigan.

Here are details from the Chicago Tribune:

A Rogers Park woman died Monday, almost a week after she was pulled unconscious from Lake Michigan, Chicago police said.

On Wednesday at about 10:45 a.m., Sharon Walsh, 69, was spotted struggling in the water just off the 1000 block of West Albion Avenue, said Chicago Police Officer John Mirabelli. The beach there is called Hartigan Beach South, according to the Chicago Park District.

A lifeguard rescued Walsh, of the 6700 block of North Campbell Avenue, and administered CPR. She was then taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Mirabelli said.

An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday.
