Two teens were wounded Wednesday night in a drive-by shooting in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The shooting happened about 7:48 p.m. in an alley on the 6600 block of North Newgard Avenue, Police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien told the Tribune.
Preliminary reports said that two 15-year-old boys were standing near the alley when the occupants of a passing car shouted gang slogans at them and then opened fire, the Tribune reports.
Both victims were taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where each was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg, police said.
Police hadn’t located the shooters, who fled the scene.
