Shields has worked in Washington, D.C. through the administrations of nine U.S. presidents and attended 17 national party conventions. In addition to that, he was a fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy Institute of Politics.

The Loyola University College Democrats are bringing famous commentator and columnist Mark Shields from the PBS NewsHour and Washington Post to speak at Loyola. He will be discussing current topics involving politics and journalism and his experience from following over 11 presidential campaigns.
The speech will be open to the public; free with a Loyola ID and $5 without. The tickets are on sale now at CFSU front desk. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by Loyola University Chicago Democrats.
