With this post, the 1,000th post since LSD was started on Feb. 12, 2010, our new website domain is: LoyolaStudentDispatch.com.
The previous domain name was: LoyolaStudentDispatch.wordpress.com.
We believe the new domain name will offer viewers a faster way to receive and find the latest news from Loyola Student Dispatch, especially when using Internet search engines.
Loyola Student Dispatch is Loyola University Chicago’s unofficial, student-run breaking news service. Its mission is to capture events on and around campus as they happen, and to inform the LUC community as quickly as possible.
Students file posts two ways:
- Originally reported and written news stories which carry the student byline on top.
- Aggregated posts attributed to the original source, with student taglines at the bottom.
The site also has Twitter and Facebook accounts, where breaking news alerts appear as they happen. After the initial post, you can check out the full story right here.
