49th Ward Democrats make no mayoral endorsement

The 49th Ward Democratic Party Board, which includes the Rogers Park neighborhood, decided to make no endorsement in the upcoming mayoral election.
According to a press release available on the party’s blog, the board made the decision after no candidate earned two-thirds of an endorsement vote held by the party.
The voting distribution for all six candidates goes as follows:
Del Valle 50.0%
Emanuel 21.4%
Chico 14.3%
Walls 12.9%
Watkins 1.4%
Braun 0.0%
Some political analysts, including Loyola University’s Provost John Pelissero and Professor of Political Science Alan Gitelson, predict Rahm Emanuel, President Barack Obama’s former chief of staff, to do best during the Feb. 22 election.
However, a candidate must earn at least 50 percent plus one vote to avoid a runoff between the top two candidates.
The 49th Ward Democratic Party also voted to endorse Illinois State Representative Susana Mendoza for City Clerk. Mendoza earned 86.4 percent of the vote, over her opponent, Commissioner of Water Reclamation, Patricia Horton, who received 15.6 percent.

Where do all these votes come from when No one I’ve spoken to know about the voting? How do they come up with all this?

Now I remember Early Voting… I too am voting for Del Valle. Maybe a Change will come. We need someone that knows what they are doing.
