Rogers Park man found dead in pool of blood

An autopsy is scheduled Friday for a man found dead in a pool of blood in his Rogers Park home, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Eric Herner, 41, of the 7400 block of N. Marshfield Avenue, was found dead at his home Thursday afternoon, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

He was found in a pool of blood that he threw up, sources told the Sun-Times.

Police responded to the 7400 block of North Marshfield Avenue at 2:54 p.m. Thursday and found the man dead at the scene, police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety told the Sun-Times.
