Suspect questioned in Rogers Park shooting

A person of interest is being interviewed following a gang-related shooting that left two men seriously wounded in an alley in the Rogers Park neighborhood, the Chicago Sun-Times reports today.
One man was shot in the abdomen and one man was shot in the back about 11:20 p.m. Sunday in the 7000 block of North Paulina Street, according to the Sun-Times.
The shooting occurred at the mouth of an alley, according to Rogers Park District police.
The two men were apparently walking down the street when a silver vehicle pulled up and someone or several people in the vehicle shouted gang slogans and shot at them before fleeing the scene, according the Sun-Times.
Both victims are 19 and were taken to hospitals in serious condition, the release said. The man shot in the abdomen was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston while the man shot in the back was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, the Sun-Times said.
As of 3:30 a.m., Belmont Area detectives were interviewing a “person of interest,’’ in the attack, according to district police.
