“Gardener Guild Loyola,” the video created by Loyola Students Elias Majid, Michael Gallagher, and Paul Tran beat  Wheaton and Georgia Tech in the Arbor Day Video Challenge.

Loyola University won the competition with about 80 percent of votes online, open to the public April 19 to April 23. In recognition of winning the video, Loyola will receive $2,500 in trees to plant on their campus or local community.

The winners are currently selecting trees and considering possible locations for planting and ask for student input, according to their Facebook page that drew many voters.

The video is also spotlighted on arbordaynow.org from April 26 through May 7.
