A Rogers Park man was released from the hospital Thursday after he was shot with a Taser during a scuffle with Chicago police, the  Chicago Sun Times reports.

Jamell Martinez, 23, of the 6700 block of North Greenview Avenue, was charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery to police and two other misdemeanor charges — resisting arrest and damage to property, police said.

Martinez who allegedly was intoxicated, reportedly crashed through a neighbor’s door in a scuffle with two police officers, the Sun-Times reports. When police attempted to arrest him, he started fighting and not cooperating and allegedly punched an officer in the eye, which led police to Taser him, the Sun-Times reports.

Martinez was taken to the hospital for observation and the officers suffered facial injuries and upper body injures, the Sun-Times reports. As of early Thursday, they have all been released from the hospital.
