A taxi driver and passenger were rushed to the hospital Sunday morning after a cab was reportedly sideswiped by a hit-and-run driver in Rogers Park, ChicagoBreakingNews.com reports.
Fire officials had to use the “Jaws of Life” to rescue the 55-year-old taxi driver and a 35-year-old male passenger, according to ChicagoBreakingNews. They were then taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston with non-threatening injuries.
The driver of a Dodge Neon involved in the crash fled on foot, after reportedly leaving the vehicle a block away from the accident, the Chicago Breaking News story says.
The accident happened at about 4 a.m. on the 6800 block of North Clark Street, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli told ChicagoBreaking News.
