Man shot in Rogers Park dies from wounds

The 25-year-old man who was found shot in West Rogers Park Tuesday has died, ChicagoBreakingNews.com reports.

The victim, Raphead Dixon, was pronounced dead at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to a spokesman with the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Police arrived around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday to the 6100 block of North Hamilton Avenue after Dixon was shot. He was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston in critical condition, the story says.

Crime scene tape covered a purple Chevrolet Cobalt with its driver side window blown out at the scene, according to ChicagoBreakingNews.com

Officials said that they are investigating the shooting as a homicide and that no one was in custody.
